Houston, We Have a Problem.

I spent the entire day building a rocket ship with Houston.    It started out as some empty boxes from Christmas.  We taped them together, forming 2 bucket seats, painted them, added some red stripes, put lots of glittery paper buttons on it, added a windshield, a seat belt, guns, blasters and flames out the back, all stuck down with LOTS of tape.  Houston LOVES tape.

I gave up nearly all artistic control on this project (not easy for me to do), but Houston made his rocket ship look AMAZING!  Way to go, Hou!

As night fall begin to set, the paint finally dried, so we hurried outside to give it a test drive.  Winston had the great idea of hanging his 2 stars from the branches above.

When it was time to come in, little Hou started to cry + then his sadness turned into anger as he realized that his rocket ship wasn’t REALLY able to blast off.

“It didn’t work!”  he exclaimed with a few kicks to the nearby ground.  “Oooooh, maaaan!  It didn’t work!”
