It Snowed! In Pinehurst!
Here in Pinehurst, NC, we don’t get much snow. It seems we usually get one or two days of snow each year + typically that’s in January. But yesterday, it snowed! ALL DAY!
So yesterday, in between pulling out pastries from the oven, I made these little snow friends, just outside my kitchen door…
But, if you [...]
Mmmmm. I Love Strawberries.
Especially dipped in chocolate for my boys. They love strawberries, too!
We made several batches of these little cuties yesterday…
Merry Christmas!
Our “Happy Birthday Jesus!” cake part 2…
Happy Birthday Jesus!
With Christmas just a day away, we thought we’d make a cake…
Jesus… had no servants, yet they called Him Master… had no degree, yet they called Him teacher… had no medicine, yet they called Him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He [...]
December.
This year, I took the entire month of December off (except for catching up on a few projects) + I have LOVED it! I’ve loved spending all that wonderful time with my family. If I am able, I’d like to keep doing that every year. And with all my extra time, we’ve been keeping busy [...]
Merry Christmas!
I love Christmas cards.
I love to sit + address envelopes (honestly, I love that!) + I love to send them out to family + friends across the country. I love stopping + thinking about each family that I’m sending it to… Wondering what fun things they have been doing in their lives + excited to [...]
Thomas. Sixteen.
In our family, we hang signs. A lot. There’s usually something we’re celebrating, and so there’s usually a sign hanging in our kitchen. And yesterday was a HUGE reason to celebrate! It was Thomas’ 16th birthday. Sixteen! I can barely believe it!
After a big dinner, the guys took turns torching the crème brulée desserts [...]
It Feels Like Winter, But It’s Still Fall.
As I drove home a few days ago, I was surprised to still see some bright fall leaves on the trees. I love all the bright, warm colors of fall.
Snow Coco
When Winston was little, he mistakenly referred to hot coco as “snow coco.” We loved it so much, we’ve called it that ever since.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Family Ornaments. These Are Jeff’s Favorites!
As one of our family traditions, we all sit down together + make an ornament for the year. Each year, I search the web, or go to Michael’s, looking for craft ideas for our ornament that year. In past years, we’ve made a reindeer hand (one of my favorites!), little cars, hanging stockings, balls, snowmen, [...]
