My family + I just took a little trip to the beach for a couple of days. It was one of the best, most relaxing, fun trips I think we’ve ever taken.
Awe… I dream of being back there.
My brother, his wife + their adorable 3 girls all flew out for a visit. It was WONDERFUL seeing them, even if it was only for a few days. We showed them the sights in our lovely Pinehurst…

And we had nice meals out at our family farm table. This table is very special to me. It holds great memories already. We recently built this table as a family, with each family member pitching in to help… choosing the wood, chopping the wood to the right lengths, drilling in screws, painting + staining it. Thomas was home visiting from Greenville when we built the table, and Grammy was here, too. Oh, the memories we’ve already made while eating around this table. And the table has become all the more special now that the cousins have joined us for meals there, too.

We read fun stories that my brother, Tony, wrote for the kids…

We had outdoor plays in the back yard. Houston LOVES to write plays + then direct them. He got out some of his scripts + had the family put on a show…

Even little Sasha’s dog, Sidekick, got to pet the horse.

Cooper + Sasha, the youngest of the cousins, had a very special bond. It was so cute to see.

Oh, we had such a FANTASTIC visit! We miss them so much already!
While they were here, I had a Tina Time Mentoring Session with Jeannine, my sister-in-law. Here’s an image from our shoot together…

You can read more about our mentoring session + see photos by clicking HERE.
Tony, Jeannine, Joy, Zoe + Sasha, THANK YOU for coming out to visit us! We had a BLAST!!! Hopefully we can do this again soon.
My brother, sister-in-law, and my 3 ADORABLE nieces came for a visit. I have lots of images I’m excited to post, but for now, here’s a little peek at the cousins…
Sasha, the youngest, is going through the cutest stage… She loves to roar like a lion! So we had all the cousins give us their best roar.
Several months ago, I ran into a dear friend of mine. She told me about a family in South Carolina wanting to adopt a baby here in my area. She said that the family needed a place to stay during the time of adoption. I quickly offered our house to them.
Jeff and I were both very excited about having this family come stay with us. I remember getting all giddy inside, thinking about being a witness to this special adoption. We were told that the family would need to stay with us until they had paperwork allowing them to leave the state with the baby, which could take about 7 days. We weren’t sure when the baby was due, so we excitedly waited for their phone call for about 6 weeks. Finally, we got the call! They were driving up to NC because their baby had been born!
At the time of the call, Thomas was home on a visit from Greenville, SC and my mom also happened to be visiting us for a week from Washington State. Coming up from South Carolina, we had Chris, Shelley, their 3 children and 2 sets of grandparents. It couldn’t have been more perfect. Our kids played so well with their kids, + we had wonderful talks with the adults. I feel so blessed to know this dear, sweet family!
Here is a video their church made of Chris + Shelley…

And here are some images during their stay with us…
Chris + Shelley, we absolutely adore your family! Your visit felt so right. It was as if we had been friends for years. We are beyond excited for Baby Silas to have such a LOVING family + for you to be blessed with such a SWEET, SWEET baby boy! He is ADORABLE!!! May the Lord continue to bless your family. And please know, you are welcome here ANY time!!! The kids all keep asking about you + telling wonderfully fun stories of when you were here. We’re looking forward to a reunion!
It’s always very special when we get to spend time with Grammy (my mom). Given that we’re living near 2 different oceans, it’s difficult to see each other very often.
The kids all adore her! Grammy + Winston…

As we sat outside at one of our FAVORITE restaurants in the Village, The Darling House, + ate our FAVORITE haddock fish-n-chips, Thomas rode up on his bike. He’s been in town for a few weeks + it’s been WONDERFUL to have him home for awhile. Grammy + Thomas enjoyed doing a lot of cooking together this trip. I wish I had taken photos of their creations.

She even had time for some late night arm wrestling with Cooper.

Mom, it was such a blessing having you come for a visit! We love you bunches + miss you already!!!
