Madison + Her Family.

Madison is an adorable high school senior with an amazing family.  I feel blessed to have met them!  Here are a few images from our shoot…

THANKS for the fun shoot!  It was WONDERFUL meeting you all!  :)

Makenzie. High School Senior.

I first met Makenzie 2 years ago.  Her voice lessons were right after Winston’s piano lessons.  During one lesson, I stayed + took some photos of her.  (You can see those HERE.  Scroll down to the bottom of the post to see Makenzie.)

We’ve stayed in touch over the years + I was thrilled when her mom called about having Makenzie’s senior photos taken.  Here are a few images from our shoot last week…  (I LOVE her dress!) …

At the end of our shoot, we met up with her lovely mom + adorable brother for a few more images…

Makenzie, Kelley + Ashton, THANK YOU for allowing me to photograph you!  You are truly a BEAUTIFUL family + I am so glad to have been able to capture some of that.  THANK YOU.  :)

Tina Time Mentoring Session. Lindsey. Part 2.

I LOVE getting requests for Tina Time Mentoring Sessions! I get to spend an 8 hour day, just one-on-one with someone, talking about one of my FAVORITE things…  photography!  I get to meet someone who also has a passion for creating beautiful images.  I get to teach them + see those light-bulb moments when things start ‘clicking’ for them.  I get to plan two photo shoots for us to do together to help them put all that they are learning into practice.  And on top of that, I get to have a lasting friendship.  :) The ladies I’ve mentored over the years are all VERY DEAR to me!!!

This past Mentoring Session was with Lindsey, my new friend.  :)   Being a mom, and being around a lot of other moms, Lindsey has naturally started photographing a lot of families.  So the first shoot I set up for us to do as practice together was of Hallie + her little girl baking.  I wanted that shoot to be indoors, because it’s so different than outdoor shoots + it’s always good to be able to take good indoor shots, even if that’s not your focus.  (You can see those images HERE.)

The second shoot I set up was of Ashley, who drove over from Wilmington for the shoot.  (THANK YOU, Ashley!!!)  Individuals are sometimes tougher to photograph because there’s no one else in the photograph to interact with, and without good strategies for that, the subject can often look awkward.  After having this shoot, Lindsey is super excited to begin photographing more individuals + high school seniors.  And I am THRILLED for her!!!  It’s exciting to discover such a passion for something + I’m so thankful to have been a part of her photography journey.  Here are a few of my images from our second shoot together…

And here’s my new friend, Lindsey, who I mentored.  She was WONDERFUL to work with + I am excited to see her photography business blossom!  Her work is EXCELLENT!!!

Lindsey, THANK YOU so much for spending the day with me!!!  I had a blast!

Ryan + LeAnn, THANK YOU for letting us use your AMAZINGLY CUTE truck!!!  :)   THANK YOU!!  THANK YOU!!

And Ashley, THANK YOU for modeling for us!!!  PLEASE come model for me again!  You ROCKED this shoot!!!  THANK YOU!

If you would like to take better photos of your family + friends, or if you’d like to get a photography business going, or if you already have a photography business + would simply like to take BETTER images…  I’D LOVE TO MENTOR YOU!!!   Simply contact me about having a Tina Time Mentoring Session!

If you’ve ALREADY been mentored by me, let’s get together for a…

BEACH TRIP!

I’m planning a BEACH TRIP for this summer + ALL of my previously mentored ladies and their families are invited!  Because how great would that be???!!!  Spending time together, sharing new ideas + photographing each others families at the beach!  I’m SO EXCITED about that!!!  (It’s not too late to sign up for a Tina Time Mentoring Session + get an invite to the beach trip, as well!)

Fancie Strands.

This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of photographing for FancieStrands…  romantic & vintage inspired head pieces, hair clips, headbands and accessories for bridal and special occasions, and ALL handmade!  (You can see photos from my first shoot with FancieStrands HERE.)

Deidre, owner of Hairplay Salon in Southern Pines, and Rosa made my models’ look extra fabulous.  Deidre + Rosa, I ADORE working with you!!!   :)

On the day of the shoot, it was a chilly 35 degrees.  We even had SNOW on the ground (something that rarely happens in Pinehurst, NC).  So for most of the shoot, we stayed warm inside.  But even when we headed out in the cold, our models, Michela + Apryl, were so fantastic!  THANKS girls!  You were SO WONDERFUL to work with!

HUGE THANKS to…

FancieStrands for creating such LOVELY accessories + allowing me to photograph them!

Deidre + Rosa at Hairplay Salon in Southern Pines for making my models’ hair looks so AMAZING!

Michela + Apryl for being such FAB models + such great troopers in the cold!  It was SO much fun working with both of you!

And THANKS to my lovely assistant for this shoot, Ally!  I ADORE you, girl!  (Oh, + after the shoot was over, I took some CUTE photos of Ally that I’ll hopefully be posting soon!)  :)

Tina Time Mentoring Session. Sneak Peek.

Today, during a Tina Time Mentoring Session, I got to meet a wonderful photographer, Wilma.  We “CLICKED” right away (no pun intended), and I am thrilled to have her as my new, sweet friend.

Here’s a peek at the photo shoot we had with the lovely Kirsten…

More images coming soon!  :)

Thomas. We’re So Proud of Him!

In December, Thomas graduated from high school, just a few days after his 18th birthday.   In January, he became a professional cyclist, signing with Hincapie Sportswear Development Team.  Then, just a couple of days ago, we helped Thomas pack up his belongings + we drove him to his new home in Greenville, SC.  We are SO THRILLED for Thomas to embark on this new journey in his life!  It was wonderful getting to see where he will be living + working, + to meet some of the guys who run the team (including George Hincapie!!!).  But I’m not sure who has more adjusting to do, Thomas or us!  As thrilled as we are for him, it was still hard to see him go.  (Yes, I bawled my eyes out!)  I married Thomas’ dad when Thomas was just 9.  I’ve adored Thomas from the minute I met him!  And now, waking up to “no Thomas in the house” seems so strange for us.  He is GREATLY missed!

Thomas, I’m SO PROUD of you!  :)

Allegra. High School Senior Photos.

Senior photos are so much fun.  Especially when you bring along your best friend!

Here are some images from my shoot with Allegra + her best friend, Grace…

I also took some of just Allegra.  I adored getting to know this high school senior who’s been home schooled.  I’m sure her parents are very proud!  She’s fantastic!

Before the shoot ended, we made sure to get a shot of Allegra with her lovely momma…

Allegra, THANK YOU for the fun afternoon!  I really enjoyed getting to know you + CONGRATULATIONS on your upcoming graduation!  :)

Lindsey. High School Senior.

I think high school seniors just keep getting prettier + prettier!  I certainly don’t remember looking THIS cute when I was in high school….  or EVER!  And she’s a total sweet heart, too!  Here are some of the images from my shoot with Lindsey…

We wanted to get a few shots of Lindsey with her momma.  Clearly, beauty runs in the family!!!

Lindsey + Kathleen, THANK YOU for the super fun shoot!  It was GREAT getting to meet you!  :)

Girl Scout Troop #759

I was thrilled to get a call asking me if I would photograph Girl Scout Troop #759.  These 16 year olds have been in girl scouts together since the beginning, + this may be their last year in the troop.  Here are a few images from our shoot…

Such beautiful girls…

Catherine, Taylor, Briana, Ashtyn, Katie + Taylor… THANKS for the fun shoot!  :)
