Tina Time Mentoring Session. Lindsey. Part 2.

I LOVE getting requests for Tina Time Mentoring Sessions! I get to spend an 8 hour day, just one-on-one with someone, talking about one of my FAVORITE things…  photography!  I get to meet someone who also has a passion for creating beautiful images.  I get to teach them + see those light-bulb moments when things start ‘clicking’ for them.  I get to plan two photo shoots for us to do together to help them put all that they are learning into practice.  And on top of that, I get to have a lasting friendship.  :) The ladies I’ve mentored over the years are all VERY DEAR to me!!!

This past Mentoring Session was with Lindsey, my new friend.  :)   Being a mom, and being around a lot of other moms, Lindsey has naturally started photographing a lot of families.  So the first shoot I set up for us to do as practice together was of Hallie + her little girl baking.  I wanted that shoot to be indoors, because it’s so different than outdoor shoots + it’s always good to be able to take good indoor shots, even if that’s not your focus.  (You can see those images HERE.)

The second shoot I set up was of Ashley, who drove over from Wilmington for the shoot.  (THANK YOU, Ashley!!!)  Individuals are sometimes tougher to photograph because there’s no one else in the photograph to interact with, and without good strategies for that, the subject can often look awkward.  After having this shoot, Lindsey is super excited to begin photographing more individuals + high school seniors.  And I am THRILLED for her!!!  It’s exciting to discover such a passion for something + I’m so thankful to have been a part of her photography journey.  Here are a few of my images from our second shoot together…

And here’s my new friend, Lindsey, who I mentored.  She was WONDERFUL to work with + I am excited to see her photography business blossom!  Her work is EXCELLENT!!!

Lindsey, THANK YOU so much for spending the day with me!!!  I had a blast!

Ryan + LeAnn, THANK YOU for letting us use your AMAZINGLY CUTE truck!!!  :)   THANK YOU!!  THANK YOU!!

And Ashley, THANK YOU for modeling for us!!!  PLEASE come model for me again!  You ROCKED this shoot!!!  THANK YOU!

If you would like to take better photos of your family + friends, or if you’d like to get a photography business going, or if you already have a photography business + would simply like to take BETTER images…  I’D LOVE TO MENTOR YOU!!!   Simply contact me about having a Tina Time Mentoring Session!

If you’ve ALREADY been mentored by me, let’s get together for a…

BEACH TRIP!

I’m planning a BEACH TRIP for this summer + ALL of my previously mentored ladies and their families are invited!  Because how great would that be???!!!  Spending time together, sharing new ideas + photographing each others families at the beach!  I’m SO EXCITED about that!!!  (It’s not too late to sign up for a Tina Time Mentoring Session + get an invite to the beach trip, as well!)

Fancie Strands.

This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of photographing for FancieStrands…  romantic & vintage inspired head pieces, hair clips, headbands and accessories for bridal and special occasions, and ALL handmade!  (You can see photos from my first shoot with FancieStrands HERE.)

Deidre, owner of Hairplay Salon in Southern Pines, and Rosa made my models’ look extra fabulous.  Deidre + Rosa, I ADORE working with you!!!   :)

On the day of the shoot, it was a chilly 35 degrees.  We even had SNOW on the ground (something that rarely happens in Pinehurst, NC).  So for most of the shoot, we stayed warm inside.  But even when we headed out in the cold, our models, Michela + Apryl, were so fantastic!  THANKS girls!  You were SO WONDERFUL to work with!

Lovely Little Tea Party.

A beautiful table setting, a cute little princess + a fabulous assistant make a delightful tea party.  :)

Now that I’ve been home schooling, I am meeting LOTS of wonderful home school families.  Ally, who’s 13, is home schooled + is VERY creative!  She helped me put this little shoot together, with yard sale finds + my grandmother’s table linens.

Anna was the perfect little princess, along with her doll, Bitty.

After the shoot, as I was talking with Anna’s mom, I looked over + noticed Ally reading a cute little story to Anna.  It was so precious, I had to take more photos!

Ahhh….  Ally, you’re so beautiful!

Set For The Fall. Christian Rock Band.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Set For The Fall.

There’s Joey Lassiter, Jeremy Stewart…

Dan Ring and Joey Picerno.

Here’s some information about these guys…

Set For The Fall was established in September 2011 with the original line-up consisting of Dan Ring, Joey Picerno, and Jeremy Stewart.  In February 2012, Joey Lassiter was asked to become a member of the band as lead vocals.  The band immediately submersed themselves into writing with one purpose, to bring a truthful message of how God can transform any person from any walk of life to become an instrument in God’s unfailing plan.  Set For The Fall’s sound can be described as hard driving choruses mixed with melodic vocals and punchy rhythms.  The band’s name came from scripture Luke 2:34 NKJV.  They explain Set For The Fall as simply being prepared for the day of judgment.  The band’s objective is to paint a picture on the canvas of music of how God in all of his power and mercy reached into four broken men’s lives and rebuilt them as soldiers to change the world and reach a generation that has become blind to their relentless sinful nature.
